Ivan Varian is a Ballymaloe-trained chef and owner of The Dalkey Food Company.
He has been a private chef for the likes of Louis LeBrocquy and the Duke of Devonshire amongst others. He has worked in several Michelin starred kitchens and as a result, has risen to head chef in a very brief period.
His company focuses on providing both corporate and private catering as well as tutorship and consultancy to several multi-national companies.!
He has written on many food-related subjects for print and on-line media outlets such as the Irish Independent and Image and and has had his recipes published in books like Cook like a Man. He devotes a lot of his spare time to the art and philosophy of cooking and has contributed to the food-related exhibition, Edible in the Science Gallery, given lectures on food ethics and providence, and done roadshow demonstrations for various food brands.!!!!!!
